Since our last two entries have been pretty heavy, I thought I'd do something a little lighter tonight. I'm also posting tonight instead of waiting for morning so that I can call it a Throw Back Thursday. Our schedule's pretty loosey-goosey around here anyway, so I figured no one would mind to much.
Okay, originally I started writing something long-winded and heavy, but honestly, it's too emotionally draining to finish right now. It's been a long week, and I'm having a hard time organizing my thoughts... Plus who wants to end the week on a heavy note? So I thought I'd share a moment that came up in my memories from today.
This is easily one of my all-time favorite Nolan videos. It's from 5 years ago, so he was 9 years old. One of the mall department stores had switched over to using these mannequins with no facial features, and Nolan really responded to them. I'm not sure if they were just less overwhelming without creepy soulless eyes staring into oblivion or if maybe he just liked that this one appeared to be just right for him... I guess we'll never know for sure.
But I love how very sweet and gentle he was. He really is a super sweet guy-- it just gets buried under frustration and aggravation so often, that a lot of people don't get to see that. But it's one of the things that I love and appreciate most about him.
Just in time for Valentine's Day, I present to you Nolan: The Romantic.
Very sweet. Thanks for sharing. I was a little concerned after your last posting if life was getting to you. Hope this is a great weekend for all of you!
